In reading the earlier reviews, I too find you can just barely see the pattern on the back side of a page, but my 3 year old granddaughter enjoyed trying to trace the patterns so this ended up a bonus with two working at the same time!

This is so much fun. Using Markers or sharpies to fill in the intricate patterns. With some thought about colors, the end results can be gorgeous. Mindless and relaxing. I got my sister hooked, too.
