Al-ghazali gives us here words of wisdom and great lesson to help us being close to God with a pratical way of presenting his text and point of view.
Imam Al-Ghazali's epic is full of beautiful advice that every believer needs to read and reflect on. A definite must read.
I'm a huge Al-Ghazali fan - his deep insight on spirituality & Islam. I especially like his explanations on theology, and Tasawwuf. I may be biased in giving this 5 stars - but, I love this book.
Imam Gazali, also known as Hujjatul Islam, is a great scholar if Islam who consolidated the tenets of the religion against corruption. The Alchemy of Happiness is a must read for anyone who wishes to take the journey for self explotation, to better understand the self; and by doing so, establish a solid relationship with Allah, the lord of the heavens and the earth and everything in between. The true happiness will only come through such a relationship.
While shedding light and wisdom, The Alchemy Of Happiness is thoughtful, and tough in its understanding of what God wants from us. A special place should be made on any nightstand for this read. One should never be too far away from such powerful reminders of what a spiritual life should be.
I always tell people interested in knowing why Muslims love Islam to read The Alchemy of Happiness. Anyone with a decent heart will come to really appreciate why Muslims love Islam. Give it a try. Don't be afraid.
This books is garbage. Nothing like the original text. Heavily edited and modified into a different book completely by the author. Trying to find the original text that is carefully translated, not a summary that is rubbished with author's opinion and viewpoint.
